TIC – The Industrial Company provides direct-hire construction services to traditional industrial markets across the United States. The same mission the original company had when it began more than 35 years ago. Those markets include power, mining/minerals, oil, gas and chemical, renewable energy, general services and maintenance, substation installations/high voltage testing for the chemical, power and refinery industries and marine/heavy civil and fabrication. TIC provides specialized services through its T. E. Ibberson Company district, whose experience expands over 130 years, specializing in design/build slip form installations and grain handling systems throughout the world.
The project consisted of retrofitting these boilers with Selective Catalytic Reduction systems for NOx abatement and included one SCR reactor per unit, draft ID fans, structural support steel, ductwork, ammonia piping, electrical equipment, instrumentation and boiler modifications.
In a joint venture, TIC with Kiewit Power Engineers was the EPC contractor for a 250 MW gas fired power plant.
The TransCanada projects consisted of several crude oil pump stations spread from the Canadian border in eastern North Dakota to the southern border of South Dakota continuing through Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. The project also utilized fabrication shops that TIC set up in Tower City, N.D., Fargo, N.D., Huron, S.D., and Freeport, Texas. Each station was unique in size and layout.
TIC was awarded the contract for the construction of a 1,200 TPH rock processing plant.
TIC was awarded the contract for the coal crushing, handling, storage and train loadout system.
TIC was awarded the contract for the electrical and instrumentation of the Molybdenum Autoclave system at Kennecott Utah Copper facility.
This fabrication facility supports the coal mining and service work in and around the Powder River Basin.
TIC was awarded the contract for the erection of an 8050 Marion Dragline including setting of four 1,045 hp hoist motors, four 1,045 hp drag motors, four 640 hp swing motors, two 800 hp propel motors, one 96” diameter hoist drum, one 96” diameter drag drum, a 350” boom with a 120” diameter sheave and all other necessary electrical and mechanical items. Maximum hoisting load was 255,000 lbs and the machine working weight was 6,400,000 lbs

The 265 ADST/D Recycled Fiber Plant located in Wallula, Wash., utilizes a deinking process designed to produce high quality pulp that is suitable for use in fine paper grades.
