CLIMAX MINE 2010 RESTART PROJECT - PHASE II - Leadville, Colo.
TIC was awarded the contract for the M&P and E&I work at an existing 28,000 TPD molybdenum mine that was brought back into production.
Scope of work included demolition of existing structures, refurbishment of the primary and secondary crushing facilities, and construction of new facilities including a new mill and concentrator, ore storage and material handling systems, and a new main substation.
New process facilities included a grinding building with SAG and ball mill for primary grinding, flotation, reagent storage, pebble crusher, warehouse and laboratory.
Installation included one 34’ dia X 19’ FL Smidth SAG mill with wrap around 32,184 hp motor and one 22’ dia X 36’ Polysius ball mill with wrap around 12,000 hp motor.
