Brady Geothermal Project

TIC-The Industrial Company was the EPC contractor for the Brady geothermal project, a facility that employs a dual-flash system utilizing two high pressure and one low pressure turbine generators – the turbines are unique in that they were originally intended to power World War II battleships and were modified for geothermal applications.

Technical details:

• Two high pressure GE marine turbines rated at 9 MW each
• One low pressure GE marine turbine rated at 8 MW
• Three steam separators, three condensers
• Six condensate pumps
• Eight Gould production pumps and one three-cell induced draft cooling tower
